Aftercare
Correction removes defects; it does not prevent new ones. Switch to a two-bucket hand wash or a touchless wash, dry with clean microfiber, and stay out of brush washes. Sealing the corrected paint with a ceramic coating is the most effective way to protect the result.

No. If a scratch catches your fingernail it has gone through the clear coat, and polishing cannot fill it. Those need touch-up or refinishing. Anything sitting within the clear coat — swirls, haze, light marring, water spot etching — can usually be corrected.
When done with measurement, yes. We take paint depth readings and run a test section before committing to a pad and compound combination, so we remove the minimum needed to level the defect. This is why we do not offer aggressive single-visit correction on thin or previously repainted panels.
The correction itself is permanent — that clear coat is levelled. How long it looks corrected depends entirely on how the vehicle is washed afterwards. Brush washes will re-swirl corrected paint within a season.
Yes, in nearly every case. Both products are clear and lock in whatever is under them. Correcting first is the difference between a coated car that looks deep and one that just looks shiny and hazy.
Often, yes. Oxidation sits at the surface and usually responds well to compounding. If the clear coat has already failed and is peeling or flaking, polishing cannot bring it back and the panel needs refinishing — we will tell you that at inspection rather than sell you a service that will not work.
